Website terms

Terms of use

These terms describe how the Novalus website may be used.

A calm, useful publication works best when its boundaries are understood.

Using Novalus

You may read, print and share links to Novalus for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided the content is not altered or presented as your own. Please do not scrape, reproduce or republish substantial parts without written permission.

Information only

Our articles are general educational material and are not medical, nutritional or financial advice. Decisions about symptoms, medicines and treatment should be discussed with an appropriately qualified professional.

Accuracy and availability

We aim to use reliable sources and correct material when errors are identified. Information may become outdated, and we do not promise that every page is complete, uninterrupted or suitable for every reader.

External links

Links to other websites are provided for context. Novalus does not control those websites and is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Questions about these terms may be sent to the Novalus editorial desk at 27 Elmwood Lane, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 6BB, United Kingdom. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

These terms apply to visitors, contributors and anyone who uses links, forms or other features made available on the Novalus website. By continuing to use the website, you agree to use it lawfully and respectfully. If you do not agree with a provision, your practical option is to stop using the relevant feature.

Novalus content remains protected by copyright and related rights unless a page says otherwise. A short quotation may be used for criticism, review or reporting where permitted by law, with a clear link to the original page and without implying endorsement. Requests to reproduce a substantial article should identify the page, intended audience, format and proposed period of use.

You must not interfere with the website, test its security without permission, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, or use automated collection in a way that burdens the service. We may restrict access to protect readers, the publication and third-party infrastructure, while retaining relevant security records for as long as needed to investigate an incident.

Some pages may contain general references to food, wellbeing or public services. They are written for a broad UK audience and may not reflect a reader’s personal circumstances, location or current guidance. The separate editorial disclaimer and privacy policy form part of the wider information available about using Novalus.

External links may change, expire or lead to material with different standards. A link is supplied for context and does not mean Novalus has reviewed every page, accepts responsibility for its content, or shares the operator’s views. Please read the destination site’s terms and privacy information.

We may amend, suspend or remove a page when editorial, legal, technical or accessibility considerations require it. We will take reasonable steps to preserve useful links and indicate material changes where appropriate. No provision of these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer or other applicable law.

Questions are normally acknowledged within five working days. We aim to provide a substantive response within 15 working days, although a technical, rights or legal question may require longer research; if so, we will explain the reason and provide an updated timescale.

Change record: 5 October 2026 — terms reviewed and expanded to clarify permitted use, copyright, security, external links, service changes and contact handling.

These terms also cover forms, email links, downloadable material and any future feature that is clearly identified as part of Novalus. A visitor remains responsible for checking that their device, browser and connection are suitable for accessing a page. Nothing in these terms removes statutory rights that apply to a visitor under the laws of England and Wales.

Permission to quote or link does not permit alteration of a quotation in a way that changes its meaning. The Novalus name, visual identity, page layout and original illustrations may not be used to imply sponsorship or affiliation. Permission requests should include the exact material, intended use, territory and duration so that a proportionate response can be given.

We keep operational and security records only for as long as reasonably required. Routine access logs may be retained for approximately 30 days, correspondence for up to 12 months after resolution, and records of a rights, copyright or security dispute for up to six years where a legal or accountability purpose exists.

Concerns about content, access or a suspected infringement should identify the page, the relevant passage, the basis of the concern and contact details for follow-up. We aim to acknowledge a message within five working days and provide an initial response within 15 working days. A complex request may require additional investigation, and we will explain the revised timescale rather than leave the matter unaddressed.
